One of the neatest decorations I have seen was a cardboard cake pattern about 16 inches around with two tiers and the cake was surrounded by rolled up newborn diapers to look like the frosting. The diapers were held together with rubber bands. Not only was this a conversation piece but very useful to the new mother-to-be.

Party favors for the guests are a way of thanking them for coming, anything from a nice box of candies to more expensive gifts is a nice way of saying thank you. Don’t forget small items as prizes for the winners of the games. They can be purchased or hand-made also. Usually they might be baby items that the guests give to the expectant mother so she can use them such as hand covers for baby, or pacifiers.

As you can see, baby shower ideas and decorations can be very simple. With good recipes, venues and themes you can make it an event with the personality of the new mother-to-be and you could become the new baby shower hostess of the year.
